The Blackfish DVD Extras

    My comment is not about the Blackfish DVD extras---which are wonderful, by the way. Everyone should view the bonus features on the Blackfish DVD.

    My comment is about dolphin "branding" at SeaWorld. Someone online commented that the dolphins at SeaWorld San Antonio were "branded" (like cattle branding) up near their dorsal fin and that they were bothered by the sight of it.

    I had never heard of this before. I asked the person if maybe the dolphin they saw was branded somewhere else before it came to SeaWorld. The person said that it wasn't only one---it was many of the dolphins.

    I can't imagine SeaWorld or any other owner making ID marks on dolphins that are visible to the park guests.

    Can anyone at VOTO please tell us what this person might have seen and what it is all about?
